Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Officer
We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Full Time, Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Officer to join Southampton City Council in the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response Team.
About the role:
We are looking for a highly skilled, adaptable, and motivated professional to join our successful team at a challenging time as we deliver our core legal responsibilities on behalf of Southampton City Council and Portsmouth City Council.
About the team:
You will be joining a highly regarded team of experienced and innovative officers who are focussed on providing an exceptional level of service to our communities and partner agencies.
You will be well-versed in partnership working within a local resilience forum and health resilience partnerships, and with the legislative framework for UK emergency preparedness, response and recovery and will have practical experience of delivering high quality work in this field for a local authority or other Civil Contingencies Act responder.
About you:
You will be educated to degree level in a relevant / related subject (or have an equivalent level of knowledge gained from EPRR professional experience) and have the skills and abilities to lead on large areas of work within the team’s ambitious work programme.
The ability to interact and remain focussed within the difficult and stressful environment of an emergency response, sometimes for long and unsociable hours, will be essential.
