We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work within the Neighbourhood cleaning team.
It is a varied and satisfying role. You will work in the heart of the neighbourhood, ensuring good standards of cleanliness are maintained in the communal areas within the Council blocks of flats.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in communal areas of both, walk-up and tower blocks.
- Ensuring the external environment is kept clean, tidy, and free from obstructions and litter.
- Taking responsibility for cleaning equipment, identifying any faults, and reporting them as needed.
- Adhering to Health and Safety procedures and reporting any concerns to help ensure that our residents live in a safe environment.
- Collaborating with the housing management team to create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all residents.
This is 37-hour-per-week, full-time contract which falls within Grade 3 of the Southampton City Council’s pay grades. This will equate to an annual salary of £24,027 - £24,404 (based on working a five-day week, not weekends). The fixed working patterns will be:
Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday 8 a.m. – 3.30 p.m.
You will be based in the West District- Shirley Local Housing Office, 14 Redcar St, Shirley, Southampton SO15 5LL
