Social Worker - CAMHS Horizon

(There may be a requirement for flexible working enhanced hours or occasional weekend working)
We would like to offer the rare opportunity to work as a Social Worker within the local CAMHS team, taking a lead Safeguarding role alongside one other social work colleague.
You will undertake complex assessments and ongoing direct work with young people and their families and will lead Safeguarding consultations with your Health colleagues.
You will be part of the Deliberate Self Harm assessments and work closely with a range of colleagues within CAMHS liaison and the BRS as well as other partner agencies. With further training you will use other specialist models in your work with children and young people open to CAMHS.
You will have an interest and proven experience in mental health, across the ages of 0-18 and for representing the social model in a multi-disciplinary team. You will be expected to represent CAMHS in wider forums and attend a variety of meetings in your role as Social Worker.
There will be opportunities to work with a wide range of professionals within the team and to further your areas of interest. You will have a clear understanding of local Safeguarding services and processes and be able to identify safeguarding concerns within your own cases and those that are brought to your consultations, that should be referred to the Local authority teams and advise colleagues accordingly.
You will develop and maintain strong links and working relationships with colleagues in SCC and ensure that you remain up to date with Local Authority service developments.
